Record Crowds Expected at
2018 California RV Show in Pomona
This is one of the biggest and best RV shows in the country.
Come see hundreds of every type of camper and RV imaginable.
October 5-14, 2018 from 10 AM to 6 PM daily.
Record crowds and the largest show in California RV history is about to happen. Overflow attendance and huge crowds are expected at the 543 acre Fairplex grounds. In keeping tradition with this first class event, numerous luxury tour buses will shuttle guests to and from the sprawling parking lots throughout the fairgrounds. RV’s of all shapes, sizes and types and the latest models will all be on exhibit and available to test drive for the serious RV’ers. In addition to the array of campers and motorhomes, hundreds of great products and services catering to the RV community will be showcased. Here are some of our favorites.
RV Basic Training, LLC. We spent considerable time with Gary Lewis. Gary and his team of driving instructors specialize in teaching the skills in handling 40-45 foot motorhomes. What makes Gary unique is that his instructors will come to you. Visit them at: RV Basic Training LLC
ClearSourceRV.com. If you RV long enough, chances are you will come across potable water or sources that are questionable. Eliminate those concerns forever when you visit ClearSourceRV, who specializes in RV water filter systems. We spent considerable time with company President Stuart Price and found a company that is RV oriented and dedicated. Solve your potable water issues forever at: ClearSourceRV.com
TrailerLegs.com. We found this unique product that quite frankly, we have never seen before despite our 25 years of RV travel. TrailerLegs won the 2017 SEMA Award (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) for best new tool and equipment so we decided to stop and spend some time at their booth. This product is not a substitute for levelers but for extended stays at a site or for winterizing your trailer and preserving the life of your tires, you may want to visit: TrailerLegs.com to see if this product is right for you.
Legacy-Innovations.net. During my short shuttle ride from the parking lot to the show courtesy of RVIA, the topic of conversation among the other passengers was the difficulties they were having adjusting and fiddling with their satellite TV dishes at various campsites. An interesting option may be a visit to: Legacy-Innovations.net. Although not a purely RV service, you may find this an option.
United States Warranty Corporation– After a career in commercial and residential real estate, I believe in warranties and extended warranties for the real estate you own. So why not have a great warranty package for your RV or camper? We spent quality time with Patty Emser, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the company. An annual review of all your RV, real estate and health warranties and insurance plans is a prudent idea. We suggest that you visit: United States Warranty Corporation
Please note that All America RV has not tested any of these products at this time. Our goal at the show on this particular day was to seek out interesting and useful products on the market that we feel would be of value to our readers and fellow RV’ers. Check them out online or better yet, visit them at the upcoming RV Show in your area.

A Quick Trip to the Colorado River … And Finding an Oasis in the Desert
Arizona Oasis RV Resort
Sometimes we just need a quick, short trip to someplace fun to recharge our batteries and remember why we work so hard. So we hopped in the RV, traveled a quick 225 miles east to the California-Arizona border and found a little piece of paradise on the Colorado River called Arizona Oasis RV Resort. Being mindful that we were in the desert and not the mountains, we tailored our stay to great fresh water fishing, desert golf, gem hunting and some great cookouts on the fire. Arizona Oasis is aptly named. Many of the campsites back up to the river providing great access to fishing and the most stunning sunsets that I have seen since my days at sea decades ago. Most of the RV’ers were seasonal snowbirds down from Oregon and Washington for the winter. Nonetheless, we made great friends with everyone we met. Many seemed to know each other and understandably, return to this wonderful hidden gem year after year. Many of the staff are work campers who are every bit as friendly and responsive as the full time staff. We drove through three of the other RV campgrounds that were in the immediate area and this is the only one that offers RV sites that back up to the river. Our recommendation… book this spot early!!!
